Dr Alana Harridge
Registered Psychologist

Alana maintains registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, with Forensic endorsement, having completed her doctoral studies in Forensic Psychology at Deakin University.
Alana’s experience as a psychologist spans nearly 20 years, having worked within community-based and custodial forensic settings and private practice. She has expertise in working with clients across the adult lifespan, with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She maintains progressive and inclusive values and aims to create a safe space for all clients.
Alana has training and experience in a range of areas including anxiety, depression and mood, issues related to gender identity, LGBTIQA+, trauma, substance dependence, and maintains particular interests in relationships, intimacy, and sexuality.
Alana employs an integrated approach to therapy, drawing upon evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational interviewing and interactions, and mindfulness-based therapies. Alana adopts a trauma-informed approach, and tailors her therapeutic approach to best support each individual client.
Alana is a Psychology Board of Australia Board-Approved Supervisor, providing clinical supervision to provisional psychologists and students undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in psychology, and those undertaking internship pathways. In her other work life, she works within the field of forensic psychology.
